Hello Ian,
are you sure, that Castrol Syntrans is good for 2cv? I am used few years Redline MT-90 and in my 2cv, and my experience its work much better than other GL-4 oils. The gears work very smoothly with MT-90 and also sound of gearbox is more quiet. I drive about 10tkm in year, and change gearbox oil yearly.
It was recommended by a friend. No complaints so far, that’s for sure. I’ll see how it does long term. I tend to change the oil every couple of years.
