Blimey. The HubNut YouTube channel has hit 20,000 subscribers! That’s quite an achievement.
It deserves a celebratory video, but workload means you’ll sadly have to wait for that.

This pair have had quite the year.
To be honest, I can’t quite believe it. It was only in April this year that I celebrated 10,000 subs!
It’s been truly joyous to discover that there are plenty of people who also have love for the unloved in the world of the motor car. That love has helped the channel grow, and I’m very grateful for it. We’re now running a mail order business, sending our HubNut merchandise all over the globe! It’s astonishing.
Right. I need to complete my final issue of Classic Jaguar magazine, and then I can sort out a suitable celebratory video, and really focus on developing the channel even more during 2019. There is so much I want to do, so many cars I want to capture on video and so many adventures to have with my own vehicles. I cannot wait! Thank you all.
What happend to the other invacar
It lives on. A friend has started a restoration and has it driving now. The two met up again in July. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eM7q3uYkxnI
Really enjoy the YouTube channel Ian.
Been a subscriber for a couple of years now.
Interesting to see just how fast your channel has grown.
You make it look easy, but I’m sure it’s hard work recording footage for us lot, whilst trying go about your normal life 🙂
Thanks for sharing your adventures with us all.

Thank you. It’s comments like that which make it so enjoyable.
I messaged a while about how I loved your easy going nature…. and I share your love your of the average.
I just swapped my BMW 330d for a 2003 1.4 diesel Yaris…..
It’s utterly epic.
It refused to idle but I fixed with a cup of petrol and small wire brush..
He (Harris the Yaris or Harry Karry) drives far better than £550 should do and is loads of fun on damp roads.
70mpg here I come.
I blame you and thank you in equal measure.!
Know Where’s my wallet its mug and sticker time.
P. S if you provide cups of tea, I’ll help tidy the garage!
Well done! Thanks for the offer, but my garage is a cross only I have to bear.
Thank Goodness for that.
I have a Beetle 2 motorcycles and all the associated nonsense in mine to deal with.
Well done Ian! Keep up the good work 😉
Well Ian,heres to the next 20,000,,Well done sir.
Congratulations on reaching this impressive milestone !
Your videos have given me hope and inspiration to maintain and improve my fleet of unloved vehicles this year, and I am looking forward to following your many exploits next year !
P.s There is a cheap Rover P6 currently on Ebay Auction number 273613580806 that might interest you ?
Thanks, but I learnt long ago that the words ‘cheap’ and ‘Rover P6’ do not have anything in common…
Fair point, is your old Discovery being used this winter or is it still off the road ?
I am currently bidding on a Volvo 850 tdi auto estate after watching your test drive in one and remembering how useful the 850 estate I had a few years ago was !
Keep up the good work, hope you receive a nice leaving present from classic Jaguar !
No, the Discovery still needs a fair bit of work. Rich is working on it though, when it he can. Chances of a leaving present are slim I’d say! Joys of being self-employed…
Have you still got any hubnut beanie hats available, or would it better to place an order after Christmas as your so busy at the moment ?
Yes, we still have hats. Shop closes for Christmas on 20th, but we are still taking orders until then. Last post run is Friday.
Ok thanks, I will try to place an order now.
Merry Christmas !
Good stuff, I’m glad for you as a long time subscriber (its been a few years at least, from memory it was around the BX, XM time. I’m a bit of a french car nut and I just came across your videos at the time. There was much Citroen stuff on the channel at that time. I love the Skoda as well, I’ve had a soft spot for favorits for years.
The only problem is hardly ever comment due to watching you on a smart tv.
But anyway, keep up the good work.
Thank you!
Hello. Found your channel completely by accident. An utter delight. No fuss, no BS. Makes the natural tinkerer in me want to buy a weekend project even more. Please review a MK1 Avenger (pre Talbot) if you have opportunity. Best regards, Mark.
Thank you! Avenger very much on my hit list. Ian
